Santiam Canyon Application For Construction

Emergency power restoration efforts in many areas of the Santiam Canyon have concluded. Where possible, main lines and tap lines have been repaired. Service to most structures that were not damaged has also been restored.

For service restoration and temporary power please see below.

Crews contracted by CPI are working to remove trees that create a hazard to our poles and lines throughout the Santiam Canyon. You may be contacted by a CPI representative to discuss removal of hazard trees on your property. If you have questions about this process, please call us at 1-800-872-9036.

Residents of the impacted areas may experience outages as we de-energize lines in order to safely remove hazard trees. Whenever possible, these outages will be scheduled in advance. Please be aware that crews working on behalf of Oregon Department of Transportation, Marion County, private landowners, and other parties are also working to remove hazard trees. We are working closely with these organizations in efforts to minimize both planned and emergency outages. This work is anticipated to continue throughout the rest of the year.

As members rebuild their homes CPI encourages homeowners and business owners to take advantage of our new home and commercial rebate offerings. For additional information on those please click here.

General Information Regarding Individual Services and Temporary Power:

If your meter base and property has been impacted by the wildfire event and you are ready to discuss re-energizing your property, please complete the form below. In some areas of Detroit, Elkhorn and the North Fork temporary and/or permanent services may not be available until further tree removal or other right-of-way cleanup is complete.

Please be sure that your electrician follows the CPI meter base standards when constructing or replacing your meter base. Due to the volume of requests for temporary services any deviation from these standards will delay reconnection of service.
