Rebate amounts and program requirements are subject to change without notice. All homes or businesses are subject to inspection and usage data analyzed by participating in energy efficiency programs. Any rebates will be applied to past due amounts owed CPI before payment is issued.
Home must be pre-inspected before installation begins.
The goal of the Weatherization Program is to make existing homes more energy efficient and more comfortable. The focus of the program is on homes that use electricity as the primary heat source and can save significant kilowatt hours through attempts to upgrade the entire eligible heating living area of the home (such as bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, etc.) in order to reduce heating costs. Unheated areas such as garages, porches, etc. are not eligible. Home must be electrically heating in order to qualify. Insulation repair work is not eligible for this program.
CPI’s weatherization program helps insulate the ceiling, floors, and walls of your home*. CPI, will pay 50% of the contractor-installed cost, up to a maximum of $1,000. Self-installed materials are also reimbursed at 50% with a maximum of $1,000 but for materials only and copies of all receipts submitted to CPI.
A bonus incentive will be paid for air sealing the area of the insulation work. $0.08 per square foot of area sealed, please see the downloadable checklist below for more details
As a general rule minimum insulation levels should be:
- Attics R-38
- Floors R-30
- Walls R-11
All qualified improvements are required to meet CPI requirements, Oregon State Codes and pass final inspection by CPI.
*Please note that manufactured homes do not qualify for the insulation program.
